Applications for the Walter HurstSophomore of the Year, a scholarship program of the Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation in its 35th year, are now being collected. We shared the application with advisors at the following campuses: NYOS Charter School, LBJ High School, Reagan High School, Liberal Arts & Science Academy (LASA), and Manor New Tech High School. On December 4, our club’s candidate for the scholarship will be submitted to the Division 24 Lt. Governor.

Started out our Saturday Morning with Service!
This morning, 7 members across Key Club, CKI, and Silicon Hills Kiwanis came together for our Restock the School event. In just about an hour, we packed 20 backpacks 🎒with supplies for an elementary school in need and a few extras left! ✏️📚
It’s amazing what can happen when the Kiwanis family works together. Thank you to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped make sure local students have the supplies they need to succeed! 🌟
🌳 Service in action at Rosewood Park with the Austin Parks Foundation!
Three members of the Kiwanis Club of Silicon Hills; plus one little helper joined forces with the Austin Parks Foundation and fellow volunteers to give the trees at Rosewood Park some much-needed TLC.
In just two hours, we helped mulch around 25 trees! 🌳💪
A little teamwork, a lot of mulch, and one morning well spent caring for a park our Austin community can enjoy this summer!
We love opportunities to roll up our sleeves, serve together, and make a difference right here in our community. 💙
Join us at our next event Sept 19th where we will be organizing school supplies for drop off to a school in need! Link in the bio!
