Giovanna Alanis-Vega, best known as Gio, is our newest member of our Kiwanis Club. Gio was born and raised in Matamoros, Mexico-Brownsville, Texas. Gio moved to Austin in 2010 to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. Currently, Gio is pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration from Concordia University- Texas. She also works at UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
While enrolled at UT Austin, Gio was a member of Texas CKI from 2010-14. She also serviced as Chapter Treasurer from 2012-2013, Texas-Oklahoma District Treasurer in 2013-2014 and was part of the CKI Large Scale Service Project Fellowship Committee in 2013-14.
Tonight the Kiwanis Club of Silicon Hills rolled up our sleeves and got to work 🐾💙 Nothing better than good company, and a table full of supplies as we made homemade dog toys for a local shelter. Every knot tied = a little more love for pups waiting for their forever homes. 🐶✨And that’s what it’s all about for us, helping out how we can.
