Each year, Kiwanis and its sponsored programs around the world join in a day of service. For Kiwanis One Day this year, we helped the Dottie Jordan Recreation Center with two projects:
Family Pumpkin Carving Day – our club donated funds for the purchase of pumpkins and our members helped the kids with carving.
Movie in the Park – the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority sponsored a screening of Monsters, Inc and provided snacks and refreshments. We helped with food preparation, setup, and event oversight, and cleanup.
Hosted by John, club members are invited to tailgate before the game and to stick around to watch the game. Come and go casual social.
Tailgate officially starts 3 hours before kickoff.
Southeast corner of MLJ Jr Blvd and San Jacinto Blvd.
We’re an organization of volunteers serving the community and children of greater Austin, Texas.
Enjoying our afternoon at the Dottie Jordan Nature Festival and giving out coloring books and crayons to the kids and kids at heart.
There’s music, free resources, and fun activities for the neighborhood to enjoy.
It’s always great to have a presence in our local parks, connect with potential partners, and share stories about some of the things our club does in the community.

Hard to believe our club is celebrating 65 years of service to the Austin community!
Did some organizing today and picked up some of our plaques and memorabilia. We’re overdue for a few updates!
